Who we are
CREVNU is a Nigerian marketplace where brands post jobs, hire creators, and pay through escrow. By creating an account or using CREVNU you agree to these terms.
Your account
You must be 18 or older and give accurate information. Keep your login details safe - you are responsible for activity on your account. We may ask you to verify your identity (KYC), business registration (CAC) or social accounts before unlocking some features.
How deals work
Brands post briefs; creators apply; a deal starts when a brand hires a creator. The brief, the chat and any accepted offer together describe what must be delivered and by when.
Escrow
When a brand hires, the deal amount is funded upfront and held in escrow. It is released to the creator when the brand approves the delivered work, or as decided under our Refunds & disputes policy. Money in escrow belongs to the brand until release.
Refunds & disputes
If something goes wrong with a deal, either side can open a dispute from within the deal. Money in escrow is returned to the brand or released to the creator according to our Refunds & disputes policy, based on the job, the chat and the proof of delivery. Our decision on the platform is final for the purpose of moving escrow, but it does not remove any right you have under Nigerian law.
Fees & VAT
CREVNU charges a service commission when a deal is released, at the rate shown in the app at the time of the deal (currently 10% of the deal amount). This commission is inclusive of 7.5% Value Added Tax (VAT), which CREVNU accounts for and remits to the Federal Inland Revenue Service. A tax receipt showing this breakdown is generated for every released deal. Payment processing is handled by licensed partners; withdrawals go to your own verified bank account.
Creator promises
Deliver original work you have the rights to, on time and as briefed. Disclose sponsored content where the law requires it. Never buy followers or fake engagement to win deals.
Brand promises
Post lawful, accurate jobs, review delivered work promptly, and treat creators professionally. Approval must not be unreasonably withheld.
Keep it on CREVNU
Taking a deal off the platform to avoid escrow or fees removes the protection both sides rely on and is not allowed. We may suspend accounts that do this.
Chargebacks & indemnity
Do not open a bank or card chargeback to reverse a payment that was fairly funded or released — raise it with support first, as most issues are faster to fix in-app. Starting a chargeback in bad faith, or to undo a completed deal, is a breach of these terms and may lead to suspension and recovery of the amount plus costs. You agree to indemnify and hold CREVNU harmless from claims, losses, fines or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, the content you post, or your unlawful or fraudulent use of the platform.
Your content
You keep the rights to what you upload. For delivered work, the usage rights described in the brief pass to the brand when payment is released. You give CREVNU a limited licence to show your content on the platform and its public pages.
Badges
Verified, CAC and social badges mean a check passed at some point - they are not a guarantee or an endorsement by CREVNU.
Suspension
We can freeze or ban accounts that break these terms, defraud others or abuse the platform. Money in escrow on a frozen account is handled under the Refunds & disputes policy.
Liability
CREVNU provides the platform "as is". Except where Nigerian law says otherwise, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before a claim.
Governing law & dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes go first through our in-app process. If a dispute cannot be resolved that way, the parties will attempt resolution by arbitration under the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023, seated in Lagos State, Nigeria. Any matter that proceeds beyond arbitration shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of a court of competent jurisdiction within Lagos State, Nigeria.
Changes
We may update these terms; for material changes we will notify you in the app. Using CREVNU after a change means you accept it.
